Nick Crain

Deputy Director, Environmental Protection and Oversight

Nick Crain is the Deputy Director over the Environmental Protection and Oversight. Nick's highly talented staff includes two Program Chiefs and eight Supervising Environmental Health Specialists After working in the private sector, Nick started in the Hazardous Materials Management Branch in 2007 where he's worked until his current role.

Nick grew up in the Inland Empire, graduating from Yucaipa High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Toxicology from University of California, Riverside. In his leisure time, Nick spends time with his family, works on his hobby farm, and enjoys the outdoors.
