The Riverside County Department of Environmental Health Geographic Information System (GIS) group supports all programs within the department with digital data, mapping capabilities and database support. In addition, the group supports and works in conjunction with other County departments such as Riverside County Information and Technology (RCIT), Riverside County Public Health, RCTLMA Planning, Riverside County Assessor Clerk Recorder (ACR), Riverside County Flood Control and Riverside County EMS. The group also is in charge of digital data requests that come into the department.

On January 16, 2020, the Regional Water Quality Control Board voted to revise the exemptions to the Quail Valley Onsite Septic Tank-subsurface disposal system prohibition of discharges from new septic systems (resolution number R8-2020-0004).
