Freddie Agyin

Director of Environmental Health

Freddie Agyin serves as the Director of the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health, where he leads programs dedicated to protecting public health and the environment throughout Riverside County. 

Mr. Agyin brings more than 30 years of experience in the Environmental Health field, including executive leadership roles in both municipal and county public health agencies. Prior to joining Riverside County, he served as Director of the Health and Environmental Control Department for the City of Vernon, where he was responsible for the administration of comprehensive Public and Environmental Health programs, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and fiscal oversight. Before that, he served as Branch Director for the District Surveillance and Enforcement Branch within the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Environmental Health Division, overseeing Environmental Health enforcement operations across multiple district offices and specialized investigation units.

Mr. Agyin earned a Master of Arts degree in Management from the University of Redlands and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Biochemistry from California State University, Fullerton. He is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist in the State of California and has participated in executive leadership development programs in both Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. He is also actively involved in professional Environmental Health organizations and policy committees dedicated to advancing public and Environmental Health practices.
